Vladimír Morávek is a theater and film director, based in Brno. He has been Artistic Director of Divadlo Husa na provázku (Theater Goose on a String) since 2005. He is the co-author, with Václav Havel, of The Pig, of Václav Havel's Hunt for a Pig. Other theater credits include King Lear, Hamlet, an adaptation of Miloš Foreman’s The Fireman’s Ball, and the Czech Chekhov project. Film credits include Boredom in Brno (screenplay) and Hrubeš and Mareš, Friends Come Rain or Shine (writer/director). He has also directed over 70 documentaries for television, as well as three television dramas.
